Since I've come back to Japan, my allergies in the spring have gotten worse and worse, to the point that I can't function without medication.  I always wondered what happened to me since I never had a problem like this in the spring growing up.  Now I know (what 100 + million Japanese and others already knew), the tree who's pollen I (and 15% of all Japanese) are allergic to is a species indigenous to Japan.<div>

That would explain why I didn't have these problems growing up in the US and when I lived in China.</div><div>
