Playing Ball

June 8, 2005

Japan played North Korea in World Cup qualifiers this evening. Due to violence towards the refs by the North Korean players and then rioting by the North Korean fans, the game was played in front of no spectators in Bangkok. With at least a tie, Japan would be going to Germany for the World Cup Finals. None of this affected my decision to play basketball instead. Playing ball is always more exciting than watching others play. When I got done, I booted up the PDA and saw that Japan was up by a point. Japan went ahead and scored another point with a minute left and will now be going to Germany.
