China and Japan leaders meet

April 23, 2005

I should follow up on the thread I started, the leaders of China and Japan met up in Jakarta where the Asia-Africa summit is being held.

Japanese Prime Minister apologizes, lawmakers from the ruling party of Japan go to the Yasukuni Shrine to mourn the war dead, an action that as always has angered neighbors (probably because of the war criminals enshrined there). Words aren't wanted actions are. . .I suppose this means that Japan will be sending ODA to China for the forseeable future.
